Apply for Residential Service

Required Documents

To apply for residential service, you'll need:

  • Completed application form
  • Property address where service is required
  • Valid state or government-issued identification (Driver's License or equivalent)

If Renting:

  • Copy of Lease Agreement, OR
  • Letter from landlord authorizing service at the location
  • All adult tenants must provide valid ID

If Owner-Occupied:

  • Deed of Trust
  • All adults listed on the deed must provide valid identification

Apply for Commercial Service

Required Documents

To apply for commercial service, you'll need:

  • Online application completed by an authorized agent/officer of the business entity
  • Property address where service is required
  • Lease contract or deed for the property

Business Documentation:

  • Documents establishing the business structure:
    • Assumed Name Certificate, OR
    • Partnership Agreement, OR
    • Certificate of Formation
  • Document from IRS with Federal Tax ID Number (EIN)

Important:

  • Accounts must be established in the name of the business entity, not an individual's name
  • Deposits and fees are due upon opening business accounts and are not transferable

Transfer Service

Moving within the BPUB service area? You can transfer your service to your new address:

  1. Contact Customer Service at (956) 983-6100
  2. Provide your current account information
  3. Provide the new service address
  4. Schedule your transfer date

Note: A service deposit may be required at your new location depending on your payment history.
